The Gay Pride Parade is a 3-4 hours long procession that takes place on three roads, Avenida, Tirajana, Avenida Provisionales and Avenida Espana.
Avenida Provisionales runs down the side of the Yumbo Centre and Avenida Espania is the road where the main Yumbo Entrance is located with the big flashing "Yumbo Centrum" Neon Sign.
The parade starts moving up the main road Avenida, Tirajana, from around 3.30pm towards the Yumbo.
Before the participants start to assemble at the roundabout at beginning of Avenida Tirajanain and alongside the roads that lead into the roundabout in front of the RIU Palace from about 12.00pm, some earlier!
The Riu Palace is at the beginning of Avenida Tirajana and marks he traditional starting gathering and starting point, just 2 minutes walk from the Dunes
This year saw a World Record Dragathon Attempt involving as many Drag queens getting onto the roundabout in front of the Riu Palace.
Hundreds if not thousands of guys are both in the parade or watching dressed only in swimming trunks, one such example shown above.
